Laser engraving

Laser engraving is the process of using laser beams to engrave an object. It is also referred to as laser marking.

Precise markings and engravings

At Millux, we can engrave or mark materials using a laser. If a customer wants to add a visible sign on a product, such as logos, serial numbers, barcodes, QR codes or dashes, we can make a change just underneath the surface. Options include discolouring, changing the structure of the surface, smooth to rough or vice versa.

The markings are made by heating the material with a laser. Using slightly different settings, we can make scratches on the surface and create relief. Logos, QR-codes and serial numbers are the most dominant application, but it can also be used to make very precise markings on measuring instruments.

An important advantage is the freedom that comes with programming the laser. The software allows us to very easily create any figure. It requires no paint, no additional material. Just the product itself and it’s ready to be engraved. The position of the markings can be locked beforehand, creating a more practical way to add markings.
